This is Adam's Story

I have a pretty neat story.  When I first had the cards printed, I was on my way to a Humanity's Conference in Santa Barbara.  I brought along, maybe 100 cards to give out to people who attended.  I am sure that I gave them all away.  I had actually torn a muscle in my leg right before I left, so I had to stay on the property for the weekend and missed out on trips to see the attractions in the area.

Being pretty cheap, I was looking for a free way to get back to the airport.  I went with some friend who were returning a rental car.  From the rental location, we picked up a shuttle to a local hotel, knowing that the hotel had a free shuttle to the airport.  This all dragged on for about 4 hours, while I waited for my flight and visited with friends in a restaurant in the lobby of the hotel.

It was finally time for me to get a shuttle to the airport.  I sat in the front, next to an elderly woman, right behind the driver.  She was telling me that she had just finished a cross country trip around the country and was heading home.  As I looked out the windshield of the bus, I couldn't help but notice one of my Hugging Cards on the visor over the driver.  When I mentioned it, he said that he had found it on the floor earlier in the day.  He said it made him happy to look at it while driving his bus.  I gave him a hug!

This is Jess's Story

I gave one of these beautiful cards to a friend of mine who was having a difficult day.  She was sad and crying.  She felt like her world was "falling apart".  She read the card and smiled for the first time she had smiled all day according to her.  She told me that if she had not received that card from me that she didn't know how many more days it would have been before her smile would have returned to her.  She stood up and hugged me and thanked me for that hug card ,also she thanked me for returning her smile back to her face, heart, and soul.
